Most children’s games focus on entertainment alone, with few offering cultural, educational, and social value. Many immigrant and diaspora families struggle to find games that represent their cultures, helping children connect with their heritage while reinforcing critical thinking, creativity, and social skills.
Spora addresses this gap in the market by combining fun and learning with culturally enriching gameplay. It provides a safe, interactive space where children can learn, explore, and play through engaging games.
Growing up as second-generation Filipino immigrants, the founders experienced firsthand the complexity and sometimes confusion of developing a cultural identity as a minority. Now, as some of them are about to become parents, they want to ensure their children can navigate and embrace these diverse aspects of identity.

Spora is a 3D game platform where kids first enter “The Outpost,” a new settlement on the reclaimed planet of Spora. Here, kids can customize their own avatars, meet and chat with parent-approved friends, and check and do quests. From the Outpost, kids can select and play games that teach culture and promote developmental learning. The team updates Spora with new games regularly to keep the experience dynamic and fun.
While the kids are enjoying the games, what they don’t see is that the system measures certain developmental performance and shows this to parents via the Parent Panel of the app. The Parent Panel is where parents can see what kind of learning the child is having and what the child’s scores are.
The Prototype will come with the single-player version of the Outpost and one of the games: BB Box.

A nod to the Philippine Balikbayan Box, BB Box teaches cultural and spatial awareness skills through packing and unpacking items.

A clothing design game that teaches traditional clothing and reinforces artistic expression.

Nature has reclaimed the land, transforming it into a lush, mysterious realm where ancient technology mingles with flourishing forests. As the energy patterns have finally stabilised, a team has been dispatched to rediscover Spora’s wonders.
